Bipasha wanted to be a doctor. She had to leave science after 12th standard because she fainted while dissecting a rat. The word, "Bipasha" means deep dark desire. Once she said that she wished she were a boy, then she would get those roles which bypass her due to her image. On July 7, 2007, Bipasha co-hosted the new Seven Wonders of the World event along with two-time Oscar winner Hilary Swank and Oscar winner Sir Ben Kingsley in Lisbon, Portugal. She was winner of Tulip Miss Super Vivacious. She was given All India Filmgoers award, "Queen of hearts" for Omkara.
