Her performance in the movie got applauded and she soon landed a couple of movies, "Boss" opposite Nagarjuna and "Premante Inthe" opposite Navdeep. Her success in Telugu movies landed her in Tamil film industry. She first bagged "Polladavan" opposite Dhanush, son-in-law of Tamil legend Rajnikanth. Unfortunately Poonam Bajwa was replaced by another actress in "Polladavan". Nonetheless, she bagged another movie in Tamil "Thenavettu" starring opposite young hero Jeeva.
